Greene King Report Sales Growth

British pubs and brewery group Greene King reported accelerating sales growth on Wednesday and said it had benefited from good weather attracting drinkers into its pubs over the last few weeks.

The 212-year-old Suffolk-based firm, which runs nearly 2,500 pubs and restaurants across Britain, said sales at pubs open more than a year had grown by 8.2 percent over the 16 weeks to April 24. For the 51 weeks to April 24, comparable sales were up 4.7 percent.
